When a page slows down, increasing the server is a hypothesis. Repeated queries, heavy images and external calls can also explain the delay. Separating these causes helps invest in the right resource and checking if the change improved the experience.
Observe the path of the request
Measure the time in the browser and backend, identify time-consuming queries, and track CPU, memory, and disk in the same period. An external API wait can leave the page slow even with low CPU consumption.
Compare a visitor access with an authenticated access. If only the logged area is slow, the diagnosis needs to include queries and customization rules. Avoid using a single average to describe all users.
Each cache solves a part
Page cache reuses an entire response when this is appropriate. Data cache can save an intermediate result to avoid repeated work. Redis is a component that can participate in this design, but the application needs to be integrated and have validity rules.
WordPane stacks feature Redis among their support features. This does not guarantee that your plugin or application is already using the service. Confirm the configuration and test update, expiration and recovery when the cache is empty.
Caution when reusing AI responses
A public documentation question may have reusable content. A private data-based response should respect user, organization, and permissions. Do not use a generic cache key for different conversations.
Also consider changes in the source of information: an old reply about price or availability may no longer be correct. Decide what can be stored, how long and how to invalidate the information when it changes.
Validate improvement before zooming
- Register an initial measure for important flows.
- Make one change at a time and repeat the same load.
- Check out errors and consistency of data beyond time.
- Extend resources when measures indicate a lack of capacity.
