Customer area guide

These procedures happen in app.WordPane.cloud. For files, databases, SSH users and application configuration, see the control panel guides. Values and options can change; check the summary presented in your account before confirming.

Choose source server

Where to find: Clonar Applications → Origin

The wizard has four steps and preserves the original application.

  1. Choose the server that contains the project.
  2. Check out name, IP and technology.
  3. Click Continue to select the content.

Select full application, files or database

Where to find: Clonar applications → Content

Choose only the content you need for your purpose.

  1. Full application: select the application and source database.
  2. Only files: copy code and application files.
  3. Database only: copy the data from the selected database.
  4. Check out the summary Your cloning and move forward.

Set server and copy names

Where to find: Clonar applications → Destination

Fate needs to have technologies compatible with the content chosen.

  1. Select an available destination server.
  2. Please inform Application name at destination and/or database name at destination according to content.
  3. Use new names: the copy does not replace existing applications or databases.
  4. Advance and check source, destination, content and names in the Confirm step.
  5. When everything is right, use Start cloning.

Track and test before changing the domain

Where to find: Cloning applications → Cloning history; Account → Operations

Confirmation of completion is the start of copy validation.

  1. Use Update in Cloning History and check out situation and message.
  2. Open the target server panel and locate the created application or database.
  3. Check files, database connection, project configuration and operation.
  4. Only after validating the copy plan the DNS change and test the domain.
  5. Keep the source available until you complete the migration and check out recent data.

If the result is not expected

Fate doesn't appear

Check out compatibility of technologies and server availability.
